The 1980s saw an influx of action buddy comedies being made, from Lethal Weapon to 48 Hours. However, the one that I truly believe that still today is so appealing to watch, is the cult classic, "Midnight Run" from Martin Brest. Robert De Niro channeling one of his best comedic performances, playing an angry violent ex-cop whom has to take care of an accountant known as the Duke played by Charles Grodin, whose personality is the total opposite of De Niro. It is the dynamic between Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin, that makes this cat and mouse chase movie so charming to watch. Right from the start till the very end, you have a big grinning smile while watching Midnight Run.
